Matthieu Lacave trained at the European Commission (DG Regional Policy) and at the French General Secretariat for European Affairs before training as a lawyer and later becoming an assistant professor at the Sorbonne University (Paris I). Matthieu is a highly experienced consultant in the field of evaluating European innovation support programmes and policies. His main areas of expertise include: local and regional competitiveness and innovation support policies and the setting-up and coordination of EU-funded networks and clusters (Structural Funds and FP6). He is also closely involved in policy work related to science and technology parks and incubators (feasibility studies, technical assistance and evaluation).
Matthieu is currently project manager for several projects and studies in the fields of business support and the financing of innovation. He is co-founder and Director of ITD-Eu.
