Michel Lacave is Professor of political science (specialising in European policies). Michel is a former President of the International Association of Science Parks (1986-93) and is also a former member of the "Conseil Supérieur de la Recherche et de la Technologie" (high level council for research and technology, an advisory body to the French government). He has a wide international experience, gained in the field of developing science parks, ‘technopoles’, business & innovation centres and the many diverse organisations designed to support innovation and technology transfer and enhance competitiveness.  He has an in-depth knowledge of EU regional and enterprise policies relevant to the Lisbon strategy, and in particular policies for cohesion, enterprise, research and employment, especially as they relate to innovation.
